Apple: WatchGPT APP

Apple Watch users can now access ChatGPT, a popular AI-powered chatbot through a dedicated app from OpenAI. A new app for Apple’s popular smartwatch will let users interact with chatbots directly from their watch screen. Dubbed WatchGPT, the app is available on the App Store and costs $3.99 (roughly Rs. 328). It will enable users to share WatchGPT responses directly from their Apple Watch via texts, email and social media according to the app’s description on the App Store.

WatchGPT developer Hidde van der Ploeg shared details about the app’s availability on Twitter. The new app will allow users to interact with ChatGPT as well as share their responses via mail, SMS and social media apps directly from their watch screen. The app can be purchased through the App Store and is available in India. However, it is only supported on devices running iOS 13.0 or later and the download size is 2.6MB.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple Watch users can not only get answers to their questions but also get long messages generated without typing WatchGPT. The app is currently available through the Apple App Store in English, Dutch, French and Spanish.

In addition, the WatchGPT developers say they will bring new updates with features such as the ability to use their API keys, access history, and the ability to follow vocal input by default, as well as allowing responses to be read through the app itself.

Last month, Apple marked a milestone in developing blood glucose monitoring technology for future Apple Watch models. This will work with a dedicated chip technology called silicon photonics based on optical absorption spectroscopy that will be used to emit light at a predetermined wavelength. The new technology works without the use of a needle to collect a blood sample to detect the user’s blood glucose level.
